Product Description
ACTUAL PHOTO OF STOCK YOU ARE BUYINGFactory Ruger 10/22 stock removed from New Out of Box 10/22's that we parted out.
Any stock can have minor imperfections. We do not inspect these, we take pictures and post them.
These are made by Altamont, shipped to Ruger, installed by Ruger, rifle is shipped to a distributor, rifle is shipped to us and disassembled. That is a lot of handling and shipping with a lock and other hardware in the box.
It is common to see minor dings from that lock and hardware in the box on ANY wood 10/22 stock since Ruger uses a shitty packing box for 10/22 rifles.
FOR BULL BARRELS
Comes with NO Takedown Screw
This a NEW, TAKE-OFF stock from a FACTORY Ruger 10/22 rifle. That being said...
These stocks are not museum quality, they are a nice unique slab of wood with "Production Quality" work done to change a slab wood into a "Consumer Grade" rifle stock. There’s a lot of handling and travel between Ruger’s stock producer and us; the manufacturer sends these to Ruger in New Hampshire, where they are installed on new rifles, boxed, shipped to a US distributor, who then ships to us in Indiana where we disassemble the rifles and list their parts.
Ruger packs the rifles in a very poor quality cardboard box with a lock and hardware (generally a scope rail) floating around freely in the box with the rifle. Basically zero concern towards damage prevention.
As such, it’s common for ANY NEW Ruger stocks to have minor dings. They don’t necessarily have them, but they can. We do not do lengthy inspections on these, we take pictures and post them for sale. If we catch any glaring flaw we will highlight it in additional pictures.
